The 2022 Red Hat ‘The State of Enterprise Open source’ report has found while the number of enterprises using proprietary software is expected to decline over the next two years, open-source software is increasingly being embraced.
The once perceived barriers to migrating to an open-source solution, such as apprehensions about compatibility, availability of support, lack of internal skills to manage migration, as well as concerns about the inherent security of the code, have steadily been dismantled. Rather than being considered just the second-best alternative to propriety software, open source is now seen as the better software.
A cultural shift has taken place and the Financial Services Industry is primed to draw upon the benefit.
This talk will cover:
- Secure, Portable, Resilient: Exploring the possibilities of open-source within financial services.
- Unpacking the benefits of open-source technology at an enterprise level.
- Integrating open-source projects into the latest security and compliance requirements, and reviewing the new legislation designed to reduce risks in open-source software.
